The Weekly McMuffin: Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Things
I have been enjoying this week
There comes a time in every person’s life when McDonald’s breakfast is exactly the right choice. This would usually coincide with a hangover and a great time had the night prior.
Well, my croissants, it’s been a year! I’m proud of all that was accomplished and all that I learned, but now I am officially done, and hungover. For the rest of the month I will not attempt to make, do, or intake anything challenging or serious. I am spent, and I’ve got nothing else to give. I am throwing my hands up, and it feels amazing.
Here are some absolute garbage activities that I have been indulging in of late:
hiding from every social event that consists of more than 6 people in a room at a time
re-microwaving my coffee 7 times instead of making a fresh pot
scrolling instagram mindlessly and not even caring about all the better things that others are doing
not buying a Christmas tree or any holiday decor whatsoever for our home
buying very unnecessary holiday decor for the dog
Painting my own nails (badly)
cutting my own hair (badly)
Not getting dressed in any clothing that has a waiste-band or underwire
Listening to the smutty romance novels available for free on Audible and Spotify
not practicing any instruments, or writing any songs
Eating this leftover piece of bread pudding that has been in my fridge since THANKSGIVING
watching Megan Markle having the same argument with her boyfriend over and over on the incredibly circular TV show Suits
Attempting to plan a NYE party, not doing it, and then giving up and passing it off to other friends
shopping on amazon.com for items that are certainly poorly made and contributing to all of the labor and economic and environmental problems currently featured in OUR WORLD TODAY TM
This swimsuit is currently available on amazon FYI:
In the words of our lord and savior Gillian Welch “I wanna do right, but not right now”
I hope you all are having an amazing wind down to the year, and finding some time to be or eat a McMuffin before the start of another beautiful, fleeting, and challenging year.

Enjoy time off to breathe
Take care of yourself, George and that sweet puppy. In whatever order you prefer.
And thanks for another edition of the weekly McMuffin ❤️
