What Not To Do

Follow the path of heated heart pumping
The mind circling up and then down like a slinky
Plop plop plop
Each desperate choice a
New step down to the loathing of self

Choose quickly but not wisely
Regret, swelling in moments you
Have not built trust with that guardian
Of your own well being
You will not thank yourself later

See each possibility, an opportunity to
Give more for nothing in return
Flogging the dead nature of undue sacrifice
Loving the misery and attaching yourself
Like an appendage to its certainty

Commit to the story of unsuccess
Of normalcy and drudgery and submission
Of nothing special and nobody worthy
Of making waves or wonder in the hearts
Of foes and friends respectively

See every problem as a greater failure
A drop sending circles outward and
Showing you, see I told you
play the tape backward
The rings were always there

Very detailed about what Not to do!.... :(

Time for a chocolate almond croissant tipped to the future... Or best of all, a beignet from Panini Pete's in Fairhope AL -- worth building a tour around!
