Hello Dear Croissants,
In extreme art hoe fashion, I have been reading the work of 17th-century Japanese poet Matsuo Basho, specifically, one travel journal called “Narrow Road to the Interior”, which features Haikus for many of the locations he visits. According to Wikipedia, Basho is “recognized as the greatest master of Haiku”.
I wanted to share some of my film photos from India this week, and I thought it would be fun to try and write a Haiku for each of them…please keep in mind that I am not considered to be a master of the Haiku.
Afraid of the heat We shouldn’t have worried — Tennessee was worse
Monkeys! So cute — Until one followed me and Tugged on my jacket
A beautiful place to play music — I saw the mountains, listen
A live monument He makes a handsome statue tho ever moving
A first attempt is Seldom perfect but then — Where’s the fun in that
Raju our driver A serious man but— Too busy to date
Okay ya beauties,
That’s all for this week,
drop me a haiku below!
Yours in pastry,
Rachel
