Hello My Croissants!
I apologize for the late dispatch today, I have been having a slow morning in Tampa, Florida, a day off in the midst of a long album release tour. For those of you joining me here via Substack, who may not know WTF I do, my new album Common Nation of Sorrow, came out on Friday! You can give it a listen below!
The first leg of this US tour has taken us down through Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida. Here are few highlights of the trip so far :
Enjoyed a delicious meal at The Fox and Fig Cafe in Savannah, GA, feat this Key Lime Matcha Donut:
Slept underneath these spider plants in Jacksonville:
Saw the cutest house ever, which is number 346 AND A HALF
Employed Nicholas Jamerson to do the clapping part on “She Don’t Know What To Sing About Anymore” at The Blue Jay
Got into a big fight with these ducks while attempting to run laps around this pond in Tampa (Their pond!!!)
Ran out of clothes and dressed myself from Steve’s suitcase for our last show:
Got to hang out with these beauties from KY (Zach Martin and Nicholas Jamerson), learned about being WALD:
Found a VIP from Nashville en route to Tallahassee :
I’m appreciating the warmth, soaking in the Spanish moss and the palm trees, and feeling relieved that the album is out for everyone to hear!
Love you all and happy spring!
Rachel
